OK, I just dug out my old dual 500mhz machine and fired it up with the old nt4 sp6a. Then created a Rosetta account. Just before downloading I checked the min requirements.......NT4 not mentioned. So - a question that may have been asked before - can this be run with nt4. Thanks Nairb |

OK, I just dug out my old dual 500mhz machine and fired it up with the old nt4 sp6a. Then created a Rosetta account. Just before downloading I checked the min requirements.......NT4 not mentioned. I honestly don't know the answer. There's always the "try it and see" approach. It's worth noting that none of the OS's in the Win 9X family are listed, but I have four crunchers all running 98 SE and doing just fine. So you may find that NT 4 does just fine. More of a concern is the memory, 512Mb will run comfortably, if you only run Rosetta (and maybe one other) you should be able to get by in 256 Mb, Anything less than that and it gets questionable. |

According to this link at boincstats, there are 64 NT boxes on Rosetta. And one of them is mine. :) It's still running and I don't recall having any problems running Rosetta on NT4, so go for it nairb. |

My NT4 SP6a box runs Rosetta, (40%), Predictor, (40%), and LHC, (20%), without issue. adrianxw's evesham node. Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |
