Are the Rosetta@Home admins interested in combining efforts with other prediction related projects? It seems to me a project like Predictor@home may have some good ideas but won't produce any results as a result of competition from projects like folding@home and rosetta@home. If they have a novel idea to test, knock down those communication barriers and start collaborating!

Predictor@home seems to be inactive due to a move to another campus, then more recently a move to another building, and perhaps now due to a shortage of people working there during the summer. They still let you register to join their project, but haven't offered any workunits during the last few months.

Predictor was one of the earliest of the BOINC projects and for a long time one of the best. The team fragmented, then the move from Scripps, and the lack of people all took their toll, as did a number of other issues. From their news...
Periodically we will be creating workunits to test ideas. This will not be happening on a regular basis. For those of you who would like to stay attached please note that any test workunits will have a high probability of failure.

Michela Taufer who was one of the researchers when Predictor was in it's prime is now the project leader at Docking@Home.

I crunched for Predictor for a while before Rosetta@home began. Used to be a pretty good project from what I remember, but now is seems kind of in zombie mode.
