PY 222 is (was) one of the top3 crunchers in Find-A-Drug, he has a billion computers which makes it plausible that he has a zillion RAC :-)

PY 222 isn't the one that had the problem; that one has been zeroed...

Not quite the same thing, but when looking at the top computers today, #1 in RAC is

https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/show_host_detail.php?hostid=126650

Not even any of the optimized clients come close to that kind of performance...

There is another dual xeon a little further down with almost exactly the same specs, possibly the same user, though it's impossible to tell.

Yes, 200 credits per result, taking about three hours each, seems a bit much. And with benchmarks that are 15x higher than mine, on a "comparable" AMD to his P4...

Not completely unreasonable. It is possible that they had networking off ...

Turn it on, report a bunch of results all at once and RAC leaps up ...

Keep turing them in slowly, and RAC is lower ...

Networking off doesn't affect the floating point scores though... check them out :)

I'm in this project for the science, so it doesn't bother me one way or the other is someone is cheating on the credits. As long as they are not cheating the science.

Same for me! Even if I didn't get any credits, if my "presently-doing-nothing" computer can help someone, somewhere in the future then I will be happy. So nevermind if the user X has zillions or 10 credits. I do my little "job" and that's all !

Have a happy new year !
