I've been running rosetta for a couple of weeks and have had an inordinate number of crashes (8 out of 20 work units). Since this doesn't happen all the time it is diffiult to see where these errors are coming from. Has anyone had a similar problem? For reference I'm running several other BOINC projects with no problems and have an athlon XP CPU.

Thanks

Looked at your errored-out results... the latest couple look like part of the batch of "bad WUs" discussed in other threads, but the earliest ones look like you have "leave applications in memory when preempted" set to "no". That MUST be "yes" for Rosetta... if it _is_ yes, then I have no idea, unless you're overheating, over-overclocked, something like that.

Have mine left in memory and have gotten 8 out 16 UNHANDLED errors, all seem to go about thirty sec into processing all are 4.81, have had some 4.80s go bad but not like this, must be part of the bad bunch, all on the same box. Just started on another box will see what happens.....

This is a known problem that we are working on. Apologies. It seems that a new file required for this batch of WUs was not properly included. We are rectifying.
