The more space i make available on my HDD, the more rosetta "eats" wich makes it impossible for other projects accessing space. As of now i have dedicated 1Gb to Boinc and in a snap Rosetta grabs 850+ Mb kicking out every ohter projects. Can someone please help me or i will be forced to shut down Rosetta.

JonPer .. 1 GB is too small. I am running Rosetta and ClimatePrediction. BOINC appears to be using about 8 - 10 GB on my HDD.

I suggest that you bump your HDD limit up to something more practical ... 10 GB or so at a minimum.

Ok, thanks for your answer. Compared to other projects like Poem@home for instance only Wants 75 Mb. Bu ill try it and hope for the best.

Yes 1GB for multiple BOINC projects is a bit on the low side. And yes, climate prediction consumes a lot of disk. 10GB might be more than you would need, but for many systems environments, it won't cramp your style, so given that BOINC probably won't use it anyway, I suppose 10 is as good a number as any.

Since you have multiple projects, the odds of running out of work are rather diminished. So I would suggest that you consider reducing the number of days of work you keep on-hand (assuming your machine has consistent access to the internet).

Rosetta does not take over of kick out anything... BOINC does. And BOINC does this based upon your preferences for resource shares, the number of days of work you request to keep on-hand, the amount of time your machine has typically been actively running BOINC, and a number of other factors.

I've just checked my ProgramDataBOINC folder - it's 2.4GB on a quad core machine that mainly runs Rosetta but does some climate prediction work too, and that is after around three years of running Rosetta on that drive I think.

Thanks for all answers, i just increased the space available for Boinc to 15 Gb but it doesn´t use more than 905Mb of wich Rosetta uses some 890Mb and Poem nearly 750Kb with a buffer of 2 days of work on a consistent 100Mb internet assignment.

Keep on folding!
