I was thinking, Why not put a "tell someone about this project" link on the website. it would be a great way to promote it with minimal efford. just fill out the friends email, first name, and your first name or sometihng like that. who elce thinks this is a good idea Victory is the ONLY option! |

I love this idea. Simple and effective. You could use the link to send emails to friends that may have never even heard of BOINC. Founder of BOINC GROUP - Objectivists - Philosophically minded rational data crunchers.

In my humble opinion, such project needs time to time a buster, a sort of widely anounced public compain to attract new people and "computer power". I am sure the project has a strategy, but there are always new ways to promote the it. Something like "all people with diabetes - get united: we have a tool to accelerate search of a cure for you". Personally I am fasinated by these projects and the opportunity it gives to real people to contribute to real research. |

I did paste at the back of my van a large print out of Rosetta@home (11x8) with an appeal: "DONATE YOUR UNUSED COMPUTER TIME TO CRUNCH MEDICAL RESEARCH" I thought it was Eye Catching. But soon I realised cars drive close behind me to read it. It becomes dangerous I have to remove the printout. I turned off my 5computers when I went on vacation. When I return today, I can not upload work. Need work units to run computers. joseps |
