Rosetta@home just asked to "follow" me in Twitter. I, of course, confirmed agreement to the request, and I also am following Rosetta@home in Twitter, and on Facebook, and in RSS feeds.

So, if there is any significant news from this project, I will be pumping it up in my blog, http://sciencesprings.wordpress.com

Since this is major healing related project there can be many other motivational ways to enlist new army.

I know that Rosetta sees the value of social media in spreading the word about the project.

You have had some recent posts to your RSS feed. But you have not done anything in Facebook since December 10, 2010.

It would sure be a good idea if you could put something about the science or the scientists out to the public. That is a great free way to get crunchers.

I try to support all BOINC and WCG projects on my sciencesprings blog. If you put up anything significant I will see it in either Facebook or RSS and put out a post which will be read by about 1,000 people covering every continent.

I would like to pick up your news,

"Jul 29, 2016
Another paper from the Baker lab in Science! Designed Protein Containers Push Bioengineering Boundaries." with the article from Institute for Protein Design

which I just found in your RSS feed, and build it into a blog post. But there is so much created content there I would not touch it without express permission.

On the blog it would go out to about 1,000 people who do not even no Rosetta@home exists. The post would also push the rest of BOINC and WCG.

Please let me know.

I didn't know this existed until yesterday PBS studios specifically spacetime (on youtube) did an episode the other day +1 to them I'm thinking :)

I'm hooked going to keep on going until we all know everything.

Just an observation I've had with the software can progress or work done be more intuitive?
I've found my way about a bit but for a short while I wasn't sure if results were being sent / completed
I'm not looking for a pat on the back just want to know its all working just right.
Not a criticism just an observation.
I'm not really explaining myself very well I know.

Have a great day

When a workunit says 'completed and validated' it has been successfully crunched and returned back to the Project for incorporation into the database.
Beyond that no one knows the exact process except the Project people involved, but everything it being done on your end that you can.

Well I expect Rosetta@Home is experiencing a surge from people who want to support the Coronvid19 research but under BOINC rather than Folding@Home.

I wonder if you are aware that the link in your signature is wrong... "sciencespringe" vs. "sciencesprings"

I just started on this project yesterday. I don't understand what the scientists do, or even need with my computer, but I will gladly use my 1700.00 build to help them do their job. I can't stand sight of blood, I can't even watch the ER tv shows, LOL, ( I was the kid running down the hallways yelling "you ain't gonna stick me with that needle"), ya, with extra nurses around, I still got stuck.

Happy to donate all the time you need with my Ryzen 9 3900x, 64G ram (if you need a spare server let me know, am planning on adding 10-20TB raid here) also will be making another 3900x after I get my still built. (shhh)...

Two beer, or not 2 beer... Hell yes, it's beer...

I just asked Paul from Paul's Hardware, and his partner Bitwit, if they could maybe mention Rosetta@Home on their YouTube channels.
Because what else you gonna do with a brand new computer build, that could be more important than helping your fellow man?

My doctor says alcohol is not the answer:
I replied "That's great, because I didn't ask alcohol any questions".

So, I have a question......are we done with breaking down COVID 19 units? I haven't had any new units download to me in almost 24 hours. It's a pity because this CPU is a 3.6 ghtz running at 4.5 ghtz. overclocked and processes 8 units at a time. Does anyone know if there are going to be more units to break down in the near future? Thank you for any help anyone can provide!

The good news is we've pretty much completed all the tasks the Project has currently put out. A few tasks are still to be returned from all contributors, but near enough by the morning.
And everyone's ready to process any fresh tasks that are issued. Trouble is, tasks aren't ready to be issued just yet.

Because tasks come from a variety of sources on different timescales, we don't know when new tasks will arrive and whether there'll be enough to keep us all occupied in the way we have been for several months solid.
We can only be patient, knowing Boinc polls regularly to grab tasks whenever they do come through.

Until then, you can either give your PC a break or join another project as a backup for when we occasionally have downtime like this.
A current favourite is World Community Grid's sub-project called Open Pandemics, which is also targeted at Covid19
