Yesterday, I was checking my machines when I found one machine running BONIC was playing up. I opened BOINC manager to find that they was no project attached. Rosetta had just vanished

I tried to re-install it and all I got was 'BOINC manager is not currently connected to BOINC client Tried the File/select, menu option connect and typing 'localhost' in the box. but that didn't work. A password did automatically appear in the password box, no idea what the password was or even what password should be in there.

HELP PLEASE, I'M 2 CRUNCHERS DOWN(As I have a full re-install too)

EDIT/ I have tried uninstalling and re-installing

Thanks for reading.

Look at the lower right side of the BOINC Manager and see if it says "Connected to localhost". If not Exit at the SysTray icon and restart BOINC Manager (Start > All Programs > Startup > BOINC Manager or from Start > All Programs > BOINC > BOINC Manager).

Please start a thread in Number Crunching on this. Having to reattach is _not_ the problem described above, so we'll need a lot more information from you on exactly what it says when this happens...

I have the same problem.

I'll give you the same instructions: Please start a thread in Number Crunching on this. The "Cafe" is not the place for problem reports or getting help.

I believe there are already some threads on your issue in NC, you may be able to find one that already covers your situation.
