Ah individual host information, probably something for the stats aggregators to give access to for the smaller teams rather than direct access to as you can only get it from your own account iirc via RPCs

Priority level, dunno, when the BoincDoc person asked for it it seemed to come pretty quick. Quess it depends on who maintains that code now. Also you would have the same problem as you do with getting the team_lookup info, the project servers need to be updated or enabled to give the information.
(in fact both do give correct xml that you can put in a database, one just doesn't give you the extra information fieldss, not boinc's fault but the project. You need to tell them)

So they're eventually starting to kick some V6 stuff out :)
That's what will be in all the emails from dev & alpha lists I just deleted then :) Saves me reading them.

I guess the options are, get an aggregating site to give out the info via RPC (probably the better solution) Maybe one does already ?
Get boinc to return host info, like you can for yourself, if they have show hosts available. Should be little more coding than adding a check and not needing the authentication since they already grab host info, the code is already there.

Ah individual host information

Yes. As an example, what I have been asked for several times now is a page per team member with all of their hosts listed and a credit per hour per project breakdown type thing. Credit per second per project per host is already in the hosts.xml file, but I don't believe that could be obtained directly from any RPC, further, I don't know of any RPC's which provide enough information for me to be able to calculate it.

I suspect the requirement is to enable quota distribution between hosts to be adjusted to provide the highest return per project per unit time. If the projects all gave the same credit for the same work, then this would be meaningless, but they don't, and some projects are better suited to certain architecture/OS/RAM/"X" factor, (where "X" is any random parameter! You know, the AMD chip in a black cabinet with a username beginning with L and a latitude above 45 type esoterica that some people swear to be so.).

get an aggregating site to give out the info via RPC

If this was available, then yes. I am not aware of such a service, indeed, it is pretty much that service I was wondering could be done by "us", <fx>waving arms in vague all encompassing directions</fx>. It would need to be easy to access and "fall back" transparently in the event of a machine failure.

If you know of such a service, I'd be interested. I also believe it is in the public interest if several such sources were available.
