Thought I'd pop in and say hello to my new team mates. Fluffy convinced me I'd be better here than in the slowly disintegrating team I was a member of.

My current RAC is about 220 and I've scored over 4,000 points so far in R@H so hopefully I can be a productive member here too.

Well folks,

I managed to do really well in FAD, climbing the team ranks and all. This project I see Fully is trying for the ANDI role which is really cool since just the other week he didn't know if he was going to be able to join in at all or not.

Legman has also taken a back seat for now with the sad lack of key-cards.

I have lost a few PCs due to employment changes. What amazes me is that for once I really don't mind where I am in the rank. Getting more cpus is always a good goal but at the end of the day the sheer reward of being part of a great team, and having a lot of fun while we are at it makes it all worth while.

I can imagine slightly how the lack of LUBU may be getting Legman down a bit, but all will work out for old LUBU in the end. If all else fails you can always sleep with one of the geek girls at MIT ;)

Anyway, I guess the main point in my rant is that a. I am really pleased that Fully is doing do well, what a fantastic turn around. I am sp pleased to see the new recruits join us, and I hope they end up enjoying the mother Island too.

This project is fun...

Hey Todd. Thank you for the kind words sir! Am I amazed at how many people I know are jumping on board for this. I'm telling you, just say Berkeley! I know what you meant about rank Todd. Once I hit the top ten on our team for FaD I achieved my goal. That I made it to 7th was icing on the cake.

As you said, I didn't even think I would be able to participate in this one, or at least not to the degree I did in FaD, and low and behold I have more pc's running rosetta than I could have ever running FaD.

This team is growing and growing and we are attracting some really cool people in the process. Let's keep it going people!

Uh, oh yeah, Todd, you're doing fine mate. Like you said, you are taking part in something to help the world as a whole and rank is nothing more than a little competition to try and spur people along to get more cpus/people involved.

I have worked out the LUBU problem (i think), When I get it going this weekend that will add about 18-20 more PIIIIs .. That should get us over the teddies and beyond.
Also building another Dual chip machine.. should help out.

I just wrote up some directions on how to setup rosetta, using my account hehehehehe, and I will be sending those out to everyone in my address book. Hopefully I will be able to get another 5 cpus out of it. Two of the bros-in-law are running it and that should be good enough for the third to jump in and he has 3 pc's! I was unable to get over to my dad's house to get him going but I know he'll let me install it. The I will have to hit up my brother and his roommate/my friend to install it as well. That would bring 6 more poc's to the table, two of which I know run 24x7.

Come on people! I don't think any of us can afford to run 10 pc's out of our homes but if we can just get friends and family to either join mauisun or at least let us run it on their pc's we should be sitting pretty. Do the math. 32 active members each with a set of parents and siblings, if not I apologize for your loss, that we can get going with rosetta. That is a ton of cpu my friends.

It's that time of the year so where ever you go bring BOINC into the conversation and see what happens.
