Chillerworks is indeed correct. No Windows version supports more than 64 cores. Unfortunately, Windows server 2008 ("Longhorn") won't change that either. Linux is your best friend ITPC ;) It's a shame if it's true with 2008. Especially that Intel is going to sell quad-core Xeons. So it makes 128 cores for Unisys ES7000/one. If Linux has been mentioned... I can run these systems on my server: Red Hat Enterprise AS 4 for AMD64/Intel EM64T Red Hat Enterprise AS 4 for X86 Red Hat Enterprise AS 5 for AMD64/Intel EM64T SUSE Enterprise Server 10 for AMD64/Intel EM64T SUSE Enterprise Server 9 for AMD64/Intel EM64T SUSE Enterprise Server 9 for X86 All Red Hats have no limits. Mateusz Yes it is indeed a shame. but that market is 99% linux based for a reason tho. Basiclly it depends on your needs and ease of use so I guess your best shot is to consult a network manager or some other exeperienced users. I never worked with a SuSe so Im really not familiar with it. Ive worked with red hat before and it was rather nice and simple(yep powerful), but that was about 4 years ago, so I'm pretty sure much has changed since :) Faust. I'm not sure why the BOINC message showed you 400. I guess I'm not positive which number is correct. Can't say I've run in to anyone that reached 100 per day without ending each one in error (which is why a limit exists by the way). It's 100 per core per day, with upper limit 4 cores, but with updated server-code #cores is project-configurable. On web-page, you'll see the 100/day per core. In the BOINC-client on the other hand, it's using the actual wu/day-limit for the computer, it's not per core. So basically, both ways to display it is correct. :) "I make so many mistakes.
