Just voted for Hugo and Nemesis as 'user of the day' at Predictor. Would be soooo funny to see their profiles come up. I have never ever crunched for Predictor so wondering just how I can vote.

His RAC is dropping though. As others complete the wu's W* has already crunched, then credit will be issued. Thus, for a while, of course his credit will continue to rise, as it did at other projects.

No, it's the demeaning commentary that you seem largely unable to post without. Things like "Probably hit too close to home".

Social commentary is welcome, at least in the Cafe. Just don't insult, attack, demean, or defame anyone. If you want to start a rant thread about spelling, that's fine. But don't repost your demeaning comments and try to call it on-topic. Stick to your point, and leave the characterizations of other people out of it.

Generally speaking of thread censorship, sometimes it's needed. There is one Boinc project whose message boards are not moderated. Some time ago, a thread was started in which the poster advocated killing, assassination, and beheading. This thread has been on the board for months. I posted my feelings and detached from the project. Some of you out there may be tired of my rant about this, but I'm still shocked by the violence advocated in that thread. Freedom of Speech is not absolute, especially when advocating violence and hate.

For all who may not be aware...

To all interested in the current censoring issues at Predictor, an online petition has been created for user’s who do not agree with the censorship. The letter is available to read before signing and will be presented to staff at the Scripps Institute to express the feelings of the Boinc community who feel the censorship is wrong and should be addressed.

We need as much support as possible, thank you.
