Some crashes

I have the following conf.:AuthenticAMD AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+ and MS Win XP 64 bit edition. I have experienced some crashes during screensaver work and saw some computer error in results. I have the last BOINC manager installed. Can it be improved somehow to obtain better results?
