I noticed this version on the Server Status page earlier today. I forgot to mention it, but I just did a manual update here, because a few Rosetta tasks do creep through during the day, and I got my first Rosetta Beta tasks. It'll be 3-4 hours before they start running, because WCG is finally back in the last week and long-running Africa Rainfall Project tasks started coming down yesterday. For information, the database file for Rosetta Beta tasks is at ~400Mb large |

I noticed this version on the Server Status page earlier today. Maybe it's the same code of Ralph 4.25, but the numeration is strange.... |

I've noticed this version as well, my Rasperry Pi 4 successfully completed around 2 tasks then after that kept locking up/crashing when attempting to run any other 6.00 tasks, typically it would start crunching them for around 5 mins then the entire system would freeze and become unresponsive needing a hard reset (power off/power on) to recover, only to repeat the process. I've aborted any remaining 6.00 tasks from that machine for now and suspended new work as it seems the 6.00 tasks don't play nicely with those devices. |

Must I do anything to enable getting Rosetta Beta tasks? I have received some 4.20 tasks yesterday, but no Beta ones. |

Must I do anything to enable getting Rosetta Beta tasks? No, beta wus option is not enabled in user's profile. These wus are downloaded automaticaly when are queued |

No, beta wus option is not enabled in user's profile. So when those beta tasks were distributed, there were just not enough for me to get any. For me, that is not a problem; I just wanted to be sure they could send me some. |

A new batch seems to have been issued overnight, 40k+ in progress. As I start to complete a few, an output validation file seems to be absent and they're finishing with an error. Looking at them, they seem to have crashed part-way through, but the majority seem to be ok, being 5-7hrs through an 8hr task |

Maybe it's the same code of Ralph 4.25, but the numeration is strange.... Comparison between Rosetta beta 6 and Ralph 4.25 - database has the same name (_0f7f01a1b07) - the dimension of the exe is the same (73.329 KB) in Rosetta and Ralph - in the Rosetta beta 6 folder, the graphic executable is "rosetta_graphic_4.25", the same of Ralph Seems the same app. |

A new batch seems to have been issued overnight, 40k+ in progress. Lots of crashes on my Ryzen 7 5800X. None received on my i5-9600K so I can't tell if it's just that machine of mine or if it's a general thing Are others finding them the same or they're running ok for you? I've neglected my PCs in recent months. I might have to give them a good clean out if it's just me |

Most projects let you choose whether you want to run beta applications or not. I don't. There's no way to shut these off other than stopping Rosetta work altogether. |

There's no way to shut these off other than stopping Rosetta work altogether.??? If you're attached to Rosetta@home, you get Rosetta work. If you're attached to Ralph@home, then you get the Beta work. If you're not attached to Ralph@home, then you won't get them. Grant Darwin NT |

There's no way to shut these off other than stopping Rosetta work altogether.??? I have never attached to Ralph - and on 13th april I did get some beta6.00 tasks for both mycrowsoft and Linux - they are about to disappear off the end of my tasks list . They crunched ok so its ok by me considering some of the total screw ups of work units that where not beta work that rosetta has released over the years . . . . . EDIT - and two more `ready to start` |

But if they're now releasing actual Beta applications to main it just makes me even happier i've stopped doing Rosetta work. Edit- and there they are, listed with all the other applications here at the main project. That is not how you do software development. Grant Darwin NT |

I use an APP_CONFIG to run all my projects. I can set to run just 1 beta WU, never tried to set max tasks to 0. Right now i'm running Milky Way until Beta is more stable. |

Edit- and there they are, listed with all the other applications here at the main project. What is the point in Ralph existing if they don`t use it . [no need to answer] |
