Message 97135 - Posted: 1 Jun 2020, 20:58:31 UTC

I just signed up for Rosetta and installed BOINC on my Android tablet but every time I try to add the project it says could not connect to project. Does anyone have any advice to get it running? Thanks.

You are not alone. I cannot connect with my smartphone but my non-android computers are working normally.

I should also mention that my android is now working without incident on universe@home.

It seems to me that there is a problem with the rosetta server.

When I do try to connect I get these messages in my event log:

Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

Same issue since last Friday, effecting only my Android tablet. 2 Macs are running fine. After not being able to communicate with the server for 3 days I reinstalled BOINC from the Android Play Store. It registered with Rosetta as a new device (appears in my computer kist), but still is not able to communicate with the server to receive work units. I switched the device to World Community Grid and it runs fine. Has Android support been terminated?

It seems that things are finally working again. I'm now running my first android rosetta job for some time.

Thanks for mentioning it.
I successfully added Rosetta again, one task came down and it's running alongside 1 WCG task. Fingers crossed.
