Hi all, I'm coming over from a popular forum post where it's mentioned that contributions to rosetta@home can contribute to research related to SARS-Cov-2. To ensure that we have accurate information over in that other forum, can someone confirm whether there are coronavirus workunits still being issued to users? Thanks in advance! |

The short answer is yes, such workunits are still being issued, but not necessarily by SSGCID. The longer answer is that researchers are submitting work through the http://robetta.bakerlab.org/ Robetta protein structure prediction service, which means among such occasional work on nCoV, there are also other jobs for various other proteins by other researchers. You can peruse the queue at http://robetta.bakerlab.org/queue.php (although at the moment it seems to be having trouble loading). Robetta WU's start with rb_Month_Day_TaskID_DomainID_*For example: rb_03_07_17775_17595_*and can be referenced in the queue by the taskID and DomainID. |

Just some recent examples from yesterday March 8th if you're not convinced: Are those wus automatically given priority over ones that are less urgent, or how do they finish in a day or two when the deadlines are typically a week? Thanks |

As I know they have in house machines too. Probably they are assigning urgent work units to in house machines and other to 7/24 online machines. It's not hard to prioritize urgent workunits. However total computing power they have is more important than prioritizing. The should attract more volunteers. |

I should also stress that just because a job may not have 'nCoV' or 'coronavirus' in the name does not mean it is definitely not related to nCoV efforts (Who's to say 'Target 12345' isn't related?). Researchers can't develop or test treatments to ailments if they only study the ailment. So I would treat any and all jobs submitted via robetta as benefiting protein research in realtime, including contemporary nCoV efforts. |

I've been getting quite a lot of COVID-19 tasks lately. I just have one small issue. Is anyone getting absurdly low credits for those tasks? I've set the run-time to 24 hours and am getting less than 300 credits per core per 24 hour on a AMD Ryzen 3600, which is about 10 credits per decoy generated. Just noticed the same thing. Credit of 8 to 12 for jobs running four hours. Normally jobs on my systems get 100-400 credit for the typical jobs. Charlie -Charlie
