All other boinc projects have graphics to show progress
and for an idea of what's going on.
Do you plan to have a graphics display?

We have no plans yet to add a graphics display other than the default BOINC client screen saver, which should provide the progress of the current workunit running.

Bummer I was looking forward to a protein screensaver. There are such nice pictures on other parts of the site too.

Most unfortunate decision. Since this project takes too much time away from other valuable boinc projects and is not time competitive with World Community Grid and Folding@Home I will drop it as soon as my first data set is finished ( if that ever occurs!).

I'm sure we can work something out in the future as the project evolves. We are on limited resources.

Maybe drop the attitude as well?

We will develop a screensaver for this project. It may take some time though, and I don't know how much yet.

I'm not sure that i understand you very well about "no time competitive" but if you want some times about some others Boinc projects :
Seti@home Beta : 2 days 17 min (my last wu uploaded today)
Folding@home Beta : 30 hours or + 45 hours or + 85 heures !
Rosetta, at least for me, even with the 4.75, was pretty "competitive". ;)

All of them ? Really ? I suggest you have anothr look around. While most of them do, it is certainly NOT all.

It's nice to see this kind of product - but not essential. I'd rather my system worked at science than making a pretty display (that's not looked at most of the time, eg the middle of the night).

Bye - you won't be missed.

I hope this is the right place to respond. There is a very significant factor being ignored by those who create these boinc projects and expect users to run them on thier computer. For me, the science is nice, but I'm looking for a blend of science and enjoyment - namely a nice screen saver that is fun to look at and has some scientific meaning or bearing. Lacking that, I have no need for the project. May sound cruel, un-caring, it's just a fact - I'm not signed on to solve the worlds problems, just have a nice conversation piece on my desktop at the same time as donating something to someone who can use it. nice graphics = you get my CPU cycles. No graphics, no CPU cycles. I'm dropping my subscription to Rosetta, I'll pick it back up if you guys can get some graphics.

I also feel this way although I just drop the resource share rather than leaving.

(edit)
Note the RAC in my sig, LHC is the only one with a screensaver that has single digit RAC. They are not suppling work reliably or they would be up with the rest of the graphic enabled projects.
