One of my Debian servers tends to go in (temperature-) alarm when I run any DC client. With FaD I could restrict the client to using 1 cpu instead of 2, and then it was ok (no alarms). Is this possible with Boinc / Rosetta ? If so, how ? ;-) |

Yes, you can set this in your general preferences. There is an "On multiprocessors, use at most" option. |

Yes, you can set this in your general preferences. There is an "On multiprocessors, use at most" option. I have 10 systems on RaH, only 1 of them has this problem, so I don't want to restrict all systems because of 1. Is it possible to restrict RaH to 1 cpu on 1 particular system? |

Yes, you can set this in your general preferences. There is an "On multiprocessors, use at most" option. I kind of 'solved' this myself :) Lucky for me, this "use at most" option is configurable independantly in any of the 3 location preferences (home, work & school). I configured 'school' to use at most 1 cpu, and send that particular server back to "school" :) RaH is now running on 1 cpu, and the systems stays nicely below alarm levels. |
