It appears PPAH is going away for a while. See the front page news PPAH |

Yup, it sure looks like it. But for those of us who have some of our resources with Predictor, it should come as no surprise. The fact is, that project is very often not sending WUs. I use it only as a secondary to Rosetta. The good news for now is that with the new crediting system, I can earn lots of extra credits for Rosetta while they are down, probably for several weeks I would think. (Click for detailed stats) |

They have closed account creation as well. The wording of the announcement sounds pretty final. Contrary to Gerry, I never seemed to have any trouble getting wu's from P@H. I was only a couple of thousand short of my 50,000 over there as well! Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

Any ideas how we can get the word out to the folks that are helping that project that aren't already running Rosetta?? I suppose some posts on the cafe over there might be a good idea. Add this signature to your EMail: Running Microsoft's "System Idle Process" will never help cure cancer, AIDS nor Alzheimer's. But running Rosetta@home just might! https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ |

Who has already an account there? I don't. I think it should be posted in science and number crunching as well, but desirably from different users. ;-) We can "allow" them to post about the reopening of Predictor on our boards as well. So everybody who has an account on Predictor go and advertise for Rosetta. :-) |

Will do :) If it's not too late, would you consider letting them know that they may be arriving in what appears to be the middle of a warzone. With the various flame fests going on about the credit reporting system currently in transition, I fear a risk that some may take one look at the forums here and run like hell. If possible, let them know that it's not usually like this, normally things are very civil here, and David Baker and the rest of the Bakerlab team are just outstanding about telling us what's going on. |
