Once more into the jobless breach, dear friends......
Everything said to be working but nothing being sent down the lines yet again.

Yes, I filled up three machines yesterday, but it is largely a waste of time to try to keep all of them going.
I will probably go back to one on Rosetta, and more as a backup for something else. I just need to figure out what the something else is.

I think setting the least reliable project as the backup works best for me. So I can use Rosetta at 50% resource share, and WCG at 100%. I can also do LHC as the primary; those run times match Rosetta even better.

At least 100k extra tasks have been added to WiP since your post with more available.
We are hand-to-mouth, but there's no need for this near-hysteria at every turn

Oh, and my broadband went down again as well - from midnight until 6am. To be fair to it, it returned at about 5:30am, so at least the message was reliable even if it didn't make any difference...

There is nothing particularly new about this situation, except that we are coming off a big surge due to the coronavirus.
So the crunchers have up-scaled, and the project is down-scaling. We are passing each other like ships in the night.

got some "COVID_jJHRs_perturb_FD_SAVE_ALL_OUT_IGNORE_THE_REST_8eh3al8b_1020373_1_0" tasks

Got 2 as well. Sort of surprised.
Aside from Robetta, I wasn't expecting to see more COVID work from Rosetta itself.

Is that right...

...do you want to tell them or shall I?

It is hard to find someone to tell. That is the problem.

The idea their work is related to the issuing of tasks and not evaluating the tasks they've got and creating the tasks for the next concept to investigate is... interesting
That they might need to be told what it is they're working on is... imaginative

Could they have some students on the project team who have finally learned enough to submit new workunits?

I expect we will get more work from this, if it spreads.

Danish authorities have said a lockdown will be introduced in some areas over a coronavirus mutation found in mink that can spread to humans.

Did you notice that the increase in task availability happened just after the US General Election? This might indicate that most of the project staff was more interested in political activity than in creating tasks.

They probably figured that if the wrong guy won, they would not have any jobs (in science at any rate).

I think it was science related (preparing new work, etc) but who knows lol
