Got new tasks at 6:54 pm (UTC -5 hours) after more than 20 requests. No new tasks since then, even though requested 3 times. |

I have been getting enough reissues, which apparently don't show up on the server status page, that I don't have a shortage yet. But I am wondering if we have reached the limits of what their science produces. They may not need any more crunchers. |

Task availability and uptime has been excellent over Christmas and New Year - up to yesterday. Almost all my team members have kept their heads above water. And this morning some new tasks have come through to keep the wolf from the door - hopefully just in time. I expect a few buffers are being refilled at the moment. |

But I am wondering if we have reached the limits of what their science produces. They may not need any more crunchers. They may be in vacancy and university still close. |

But I am wondering if we have reached the limits of what their science produces. They may not need any more crunchers. Yes, that explains the immediate problem. But it has been going on intermittently for some time. There may be a longer-term issue as well. |

No new tasks for PC since yesterday 1-1-2018, Android version is getting tasks normally, what's going on? why don't you post a thread when this happens? I think it should a 'No New Tasks' BUTTON on the BOINC app to click so the servers know we have noticed this, but servers should also inform that are not sending new WUs as the BOINC app reports: 02/01/2018 11:29:09 | Rosetta@home | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 02/01/2018 11:29:09 | Rosetta@home | Reporting 2 completed tasks 02/01/2018 11:29:09 | Rosetta@home | Requesting new tasks for CPU 02/01/2018 11:30:08 | Rosetta@home | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 02/01/2018 11:30:08 | Rosetta@home | No tasks sent 02/01/2018 11:33:39 | Rosetta@home | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 02/01/2018 11:33:39 | Rosetta@home | Reporting 1 completed tasks 02/01/2018 11:33:39 | Rosetta@home | Requesting new tasks for CPU 02/01/2018 11:33:40 | Rosetta@home | Started upload of CsSWdRvk_fold_and_dock_SAVE_ALL_OUT_523949_4856_0_r1681521174_0 02/01/2018 11:33:41 | Rosetta@home | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 02/01/2018 11:33:41 | Rosetta@home | No tasks sent 02/01/2018 11:33:54 | Rosetta@home | Finished upload of CsSWdRvk_fold_and_dock_SAVE_ALL_OUT_523949_4856_0_r1681521174_0 02/01/2018 11:33:57 | Rosetta@home | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 02/01/2018 11:33:57 | Rosetta@home | Reporting 1 completed tasks 02/01/2018 11:33:57 | Rosetta@home | Requesting new tasks for CPU 02/01/2018 11:33:59 | Rosetta@home | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 02/01/2018 11:33:59 | Rosetta@home | No tasks sent 02/01/2018 11:36:21 | Rosetta@home | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 02/01/2018 11:36:21 | Rosetta@home | Reporting 1 completed tasks 02/01/2018 11:36:21 | Rosetta@home | Requesting new tasks for CPU 02/01/2018 11:36:23 | Rosetta@home | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 02/01/2018 11:36:23 | Rosetta@home | No tasks sent Are you people monitoring the BOINC Seerver logs or just went on a year end party and forgot to setup the servers properly? |

I've just alerted the lab about the empty queue. I'm sure there will be plenty of jobs submitted soon. |

But I am wondering if we have reached the limits of what their science produces. They may not need any more crunchers. It's almost as if people don't realise that people go on holiday for Christmas and the New Year. Maybe it's a mistake not to shut down the project completely in the holidays and just announce it's shut down and start up dates. That way, no-one would have to field complaints in the early hours of New Year's day. Or maybe it's just a gag I don't get because I'm getting grumpy in my old age. I despair at the entitlement. |

Yes, that explains the immediate problem. But it has been going on intermittently for some time. There may be a longer-term issue as well. It's also the first time, if i remember correctly, that the project has 2 different app (3.xx and 4.xx) at the same time. Usually they introduce the new app and dismisse the old. So, i think it's not easy to manage the queues and simulations |
