My desktop: ASUS with an AMD 6 core @ 3.4 w raid. I was running FC-19 and Boinc (ver, I forget)
. I was getting right at 30,000 credits/day. Then I got this wild hair to upgrade to FC-22 non-raid. I reload Boinc via DNF logged in with MGR, I'm an existing.... and away we went ... at about 3,000 to 8,000 credits/day ... WT????

Boinc says "not our problem call your projects". On boincstats.com I'm liderbug. I've tried various compute configs - nothing changes.

Suggestions?
Thanks

Are new tasks competing with BOINC for CPU time? Did the AV change? Did usage of memory get tighter with the new version?

if there is enough disk space, it may be help to install 2 different distributions say in different partitions/mount points, keeping boinc in a shared location.

then it may be possible to boot into the alternate distribution to attempt to diagnose the difference between the 2

i'm not certain about this, but sometimes a kernel upgrade may help, in particular if that kernel has some performance problems say in cpu scheduling etc.
but this is rather 'techie' as it may require 1 to compile & install a kernel

just 2c :)

Presumably your mix of BOINC projects has changed. Different projects give different amounts of credit (for valid reasons, cross-project credit parity if not possible, but could be closer than it currently is). A 6-core CPU couldn't get 30k/day on Rosetta - I'd expect 3-4k.
