For target T324, the CASP7 web site shows an expiry date of July 1, but I just received three WUs for T324 with a report deadlines of July 5 and July 6, as follows:

Sharp eye! This 324 WU should be OK. We sent out the WU because we tend to get the majority of results back within two days -- within the CASP7 deadline, in this case. Any WUs returned after the deadline will not be used to make the "official" fold predictions, but will be kept for our own in-house analysis when the true structure is released. So please do crunch the WU -- thanks! Received another T324 WU with a deadline past the CASP7 expiry date shown on their web site, as follows: |

So please do crunch the WU -- thanks! Taking this a step further, does this mean that we shouldn't (in general) abort any CASP units even if the deadline has passed? Where I'm sneakily going with this is to reiterate a request for a page accessible from the Rosetta main page that can be the definitive list of what WU (if any) should be aborted because they are now "out of date CASP" units. However, your reply above implies that this may not be necessary, since late CASP units still have value to the project. So what is the definitive word on this subject? |

I don't think you should abort any wu unless officially advised to in the announcements thread. I recommend all users to subscribe to that thread, then they'll get an e-mail notification that there is something that needs doing. Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |
