Description	ROBOTIC - NEUROSCIENCE - NANOTECHNOLOGY - DRUG DISCOVERY & DEVELOPMENT (D3) The Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) is a Foundation created to promote excellence in research in Italy. IIT was established jointly by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research and the Ministry of Economy and Finance. It is open to the active participation of private organizations in order to encourage technological development and training in high technology. IIT's aim is to become an international centre of excellence for scientific research in advanced technology, attracting contributions from researchers and experts from the world of research. Within the broader spectrum of research in Italy, IIT is a centre of innovation, intending to add variety and richness to the panorama of research as well as opening effective channels of communication with both industry and other research institutions. IIT is committed to the economic development of Italy and to the dissemination of knowledge.
