At 6 weeks:

The embryo is about 1/4 inch long and has developed a head and a trunk.

Structures that will become arms and legs, called limb buds, first appear.

A blood vessel forms and begins to pump blood. This will develop into the heart and circulatory system.

At 8 weeks:

The embryo is about 1/2 inch long.

The heart now has four chambers.

Fingers and toes begin to form.

Reflex activities begin as the brain and nervous system develop.

Cells begin to form the eyes, ears, jaws, lungs, stomach, intestines and liver

At 10 weeks:

Structures that will form eyes, ears, arms and legs can be seen.

Muscles and skeleton are developing and the nervous system becomes more responsive.

6 semanas:

El embrio'n tiene una longitud de aproximadamente 1/4 de pulgada y ha desarrollado una cabeza y un tronco.

Empiezan a aparecer las estructuras que se convertira'n en los brazos y las piernas, llamadas blastemas de las extremidades.

Se forma un vaso sangui'neo y empieza a transportar sangre. Este vaso sangui'­neo se convertira'¡ en el corazo'n y el sistema circulatorio.

8 semanas:

El corazon tiene ahora cuatro ca'maras.

Empiezan a formarse los dedos de las manos y de los pies. Empiezan las actividades reflejas, a medida que se desarrollan el cerebro y el sistema nervioso.

Las ce'lulas empiezan a formar los ojos, las orejas, las mandi'bulas, los pulmones, el esto'mago, los intestinos y el hi'­gado.

10 semanas:

Se pueden ver las estructuras que formaran los ojos, las orejas, los brazos y las piernas.

Se esta'n desarrollando los musculos y el esqueleto, y el sistema nervioso responde mejor.
