Your personal background.
It looks like I account for 1/2000th - 1/1000th of R@h credit. Kudos to those who do more and the masses who contribute.
Interested in performance per watt on systems. Also interested in TCO of rosetta boxes that run 24/7.
Memory speed matters!!
buttercup: i7-6700K (formally 2x AMD 6164HE) (formally 2x Intel Xeon 5410) --a top 15 overall contributor for R@H.
bub + bob: amd 2600x (formally i7 3720QM laptop) (formally two 1U systems in a 2U chassis (HP Z6000 G6): 2x Intel X5650 -- These systems have failed to merge after upgrading to AMD which docked them about 7M credits. The result of the $1,000s of dollars I put into this effort appear to be lost.

Your opinions about Rosetta@home
1. Why do you run Rosetta@home?
Alzheimer's killed my grandpa.
3. Any suggestions?
Make the quota limitations shorter than a day for those who have contributed a certain amount. Changes in R@H sometimes create massive amounts failures that can't be prevented. This results in days of lost progress.
As long as it is provable that the other system has been shut down, merging by hostname should always work without the incompatible error. I imagine this will become more of an issue as more people buy AMD in 2019.
Host 1761295 has an incompatible CPU: (AuthenticAMD AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor [Family 23 Model 8 Stepping 2], GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3720QM CPU @ 2.60GHz [Family 6 Model 58 Stepping 9])
