Description | The BOINC 'STARFLEET - Star Trek Fan Association' team is an international team, as a good Trek team should be. We have more than 500 million BOINC credits in the projects for which we currently do work. Our team has more total BOINC work credits than all the other Star Trek related teams. By pooling our efforts for the largest Star Trek related team, we can better represent the Trek franchise. Regardless of which series or movie was your first Star Trek, the show from its earliest days was an inspiration for cooperation, research, and exploration, all of which are exemplified by BOINC and its pioneers at SETI@Home. The majority of our total work credits were done for the SETI@Home project. Many of us have been active since the classic SETI@Home days, prior to the BOINC system when other projects became available. SETI@Home continues to be our most popular project, but most members do work for more than one project, so that they can continue working when SETI@Home work is not available or they want to do work for other projects we care about. The STARFLEET International Star Trek Fan Association is the oldest continuously operating Star Trek Fan Organization in the world. Founded by Star Trek enthusiasts in 1974, STARFLEET has become an international organization of members from the entire planet, united by their appreciation of: Star Trek - The Greatest Human Adventure Peace and Long Life, |
