Description | Stem Cell Activists Fighting Back! For too long the promise of stem cell research has been held back by the ideology and ignorance of a small group of extremists. The will of the majority has been ignored and hope for millions with debilitating illnesses has been needlessly delayed. It's time to fight back. Cars exhaust deadly phosgene gas that cause asthma, and destroys the ozone. One seconds worth of phosgene gas will give you severe asthma, so that you'll never run again and suffer from daily breathing problems. Ten seconds worth can put you in an oxygen tent for life. Mechanics who service and install A/C systems on cars suffer from high exposure rates. To date there are no warnings about phosgene gas in the work place, by car manufacturer, or government. The chlorine component of freon is what ends up getting sucked down the engine and burnt before being exhausted as phosgene gas giving the exposed asthma. Anyone can dump a gallon of chlorox in the gas tank and ride around shopping mall parking lots gasing people, and it's happening. This is an extremely dangerous chemical, there are 20 million asthmatics. Asthma has alot of people disabled for life. This is most likely the number one method used to ruin lives. Other poisons are also dumped into gas tanks with the intent to harm someone. Cancer is also a side effect of chemical burning. There isn't anyway to prevent this from happening because anyone handy with a wrench can find away to get a liquid into the gas tank. I hope the science behind Seti@HOME can help humanity cope better with modern day to day living problems that we're all up against. My own personal belief is that every case of pneumonia is actually a poisoning regardless of what doctors who are terrorized by the public will and won't say. Which is neither here nor there since college professionals are to busy to read these pages! Our PCs are on for many hours each day -- they really are part of our lives now. They allow us to work, communicate, learn, stay informed, shop and be entertained. Why not use the excess computing power to do something worthwhile? I'd like to see our government create tax credits for people who volunteer their computing power for non-profit distributive computing projects. These would be similar to tax breaks we can get by claiming mileage for driving somewhere to volunteer. If millions of people with PCs need an incentive to help work toward a common good (beside the obvious!), perhaps the government can provide it. I hope to help ourselves, our children and our childrens' children by running this computing program. We owe it to ourselves to expect better from the world around us -- we are both the beneficiaries and victims of the environment we've created. |
