I would hate for it to turn into the Folding@home forums and that is why I believe steps should ne taken now to stop that from happening.

Folding@Home don't even have their own forum ;-)

I also do not agree with insults and name calling. There is no reason for it and there should be no place for it on these forums.
I also looked around other teams and there seems to be a growing dislike for the attuide of the Rosetta forums. They was described as a battlefield at one place.
I hope the Mods put a stop to this before it gets out of hand.

This is a recent phenomenon - Until about a month ago this was the most harmonious and pleasant BOINC forum of the lot.

It was the main reason I switched most of my CPU power to this project.

It may have something to do with growing pains - a sudden increase in participants will stress any project. (And DO NOT read anything team- or user-specific into that statement - I am NOT pointing fingers!)

It was not obvious from what you wrote that you had actually looked at those threads (you made no reference to them). I tried to help by guiding you there as the symptoms are the same. At no time did I say anything about your level of knowledge.

Yes, many crunchers have been hit by those same problems and things are gradually improving. After the initial rush where something like 90% of work units failed, I have only seen a few in the last 12 hours. I expect to see a few more of them before they eventually disappear.

I just spent the last six hours trying to install Windows XP on my fairly new AMD Athlon 64 3200+. I am now right back where I started, Windows 2000 SP1. XP won't install, XP x64 won't install, Slackware won't install, Win2000 SP2,3,4 won't install. I had a lot of trouble getting XP x64 on my Athlon 64x2 3800+ a couple of months ago. I am fed up with AMD, I wish I had Intel inside.
