So you can tailor each machine if you have more then one. Only for three machines tho :( I'd find it really useful if i had more options (ideally one per machine) without having to use local over-ride files... I agree completely. BOINC already has a local options screen - it can't be too hard to add more options to that existing feature.

Is there anyway to fix this? It won't let me merge them. No, unless the two systems are exactly the same you can't merge them. Since you changed the OS that counts as a signficant-enough change to be considered a different computer.

Noone needs to be contacted. BOINC will address the situation by limiting the number of tasks you download until your machine reports successful completion of work. Once you hit the limit, you are granted one task. If that one goes OK then your daily limit is doubled each time a good result is returned. But this guy doesn't have a good track record for leaving BOINC alone, though, does he? 8)

Is the tiny amount of science crunched by old computers worth the extra pollution? What do people think about this?
