US Navy team members have selected ROSETTA@home to be our POTM for the Month of January. If you have some extra computer power how about working some Rosetta work units. We sure would like more members to come by our web site and vote for these POTM's.

For Navy team members we maintain a web site at
http://www.mikesbawx.org/navy/phpBB3

Due to some nasty folks who try to send out spam, viruses and what nots, in order join this Team's web site, if you care to, you must send a email to Michael, who runs the site and is the founder of most of the US Navy teams in the projects, at 'zaicran@gmail'.com and give a user name to be used. He will set up the account for you.

Thanks, Yank

Project of the Month for November is Milkyway@home. Navy team members voted for this POTM. Every month we have a vote for the next POTM. Navy teams' web site is at http://www.mikesbawx.org/navy/phpBB3

Come on by, sign in and have a look around and vote soon for the next POTM.

We do need some help to take over the lead for the #1 spot in the Government Team listing.

At the present time the weather is much cooler so this would be a good time to turn some more of your computers on and crunch some work units for the US navy Milkyway team.

Out of about 60 work units 5 have "computer error". They ran any where from 1,000 to 3,000 CPU seconds. Is this about normal for Rosetta. Not too concerned, just asking.

Can you tell me what the problem is? I haven't seen any line of data in the message area of the BOINC manager stating that a units was aborted. I have the BOINC version 5.10.28.

i dont know for sure but i though you could abort capri_14, cause they gave a load of error's. but u got to ask some1 to confirm that.

I don't know about that but I have now completed the crunching of all my Rosetta units. Next time SETI has a problem will crunch some more units for this project.

Join the U.S.Navy Rosetta team and/or the US Navy SETI team.

Don't remember the name of the type of units they were but there were about 30 of them. It was due to a accidental click on 'suspend' and got overloaded with Rosetta work units which I didn't want. Was during the time that both SETI and Rosetta were having problems.

Just noticed that I still am crunching a very small number of Rosetta units. They are of the type "minimize---Score and CAPRE14____Dock so I can only assume that the units I aborted were possible this type. Hope that helps you.

Running Windows XP on a Dual core Intel 1.66 with 1 GB memory, Boinc 5.10.13 and just downloaded a bunch of Rosetta beta version 5.77 units. First two units I aborted due to the constant increasing and decreasing time to completion during a run of about 6 hours. Is there a problem with this version and if so should I delete the whole batch of them?
