See if the steps detailed over here work for you.

Very cool! Thank you very much. I am much happier now that the program starts on its own and Vista is none the wiser. Now I will try and tweek the task where the program still appears running in the system tray, but is hidden until I click 'Open BOINC Manager'. Thanks again for the help.

My computer blocks BOINC from starting up at login. Each time I restart I have to right-click on the icon in the system tray and tell it to run the program and then Vista asks if I'm sure I want to run the program! Is there any setting I can change that will tell the operating system that it's ok to run BOINC at startup?

The new the version 5.62 I believe is the culprit. Hopefully you have been aware of this before now and are working on a fix. If it is not from the new version, then what do I do?

Thanks.

This is a post on Number Cruching by Rhiju

Attention PowerPC Mac users
Unfortunately, the current rosetta@home version (5.62) doesn't work on all power-PC's.
It has to do with updates to the BOINC API code (out of our hands!), and we suspect that
it only involves users with Mac OS X 10.3.9, because we didn't see any problems on
our local powerPC machines or on our test server ralph.

David Kim and I are working on it, right now. If you want to help, please do attach your
project to ralph -- there will be an update to 5.63 later tonight that will (hopefully) fix the problem!

Thanks for the info!

Once all the tasks assciated with that host have been removed from the database you can delete it. If the CPU and OS have not changed you may be able to merge it with the new host sooner though.

Thanks. My new computer is a new CPU and different OS, so how do I delete the old computer from my lists of computers?

No need to worry about it. When it fails to report in anymore, it will drop from your list of "active" hosts.

Cool! Thanks.

My old computer's hard drive failed and I bought a new one. I would like to remove the old one from my list of computers that my account shows I have. Thanks.
