Just don't start looking at them, look at me, 9 computers in the house, fully disabled with mental illness and depressed because I don't have enough computing power ...

So, put down that signature and step away from the computer and no one gets hurt ...

Mama don't let your babies grow up to be BOINC stat watchers ...

Boy, I sure know where you are coming from on this one. Man I just gotta get my RAC up.

p.s. Keep looking over your shoulder Paul.

I'm in this project for the science, so it doesn't bother me one way or the other is someone is cheating on the credits. As long as they are not cheating the science.

Things like this happen. To me, it doesn't matter if I get credit for the aborted wu's or not. As long as the sun comes up tomorrow I won't sweat it. I have a couple of 'puters crunching the Seti@Home test project and no credit is granted for the work, good or bad.

My pair of 275's are all over the place on Rosetta. I have some Wu's that only take 40 munutes and some that take almost 3hrs. As a rule they fall between 1.5hrs and 2.5 hrs per cpu.

I had 4 linux computers running 4.19 that errored constantly until I
upgraded to 5.2.x. Since then I have only had one client error in several
weeks.

I've had a couple that stuck at 1%. Stopping Boinc and restarting has worked for me.

Holy cow, I hadn't checked for a few days. Several of my linux boxes are throwing up all over the place with R@H errors. Both multi processor and single processor. All my windows computers seem to be running ok.

Question is, should I detatch from R@H and wait for it to get fixed or let it run so R@H can "test". One is running the 5.2.2 but I'm not at them right now. I'll check later tonight.

Try upgrading the 4.19 clients if you can. They seem to be giving the errors.

It's a bit early but, upgrading to the 5.2.4 linux client appears to have corrected the problem.

Are you running any of the other BOINC projects? If so, with what result?

What I'm trying to establish is, is this a you/Rosetta problem or a you/BOINC in general problem.

Myself, I have only had it stick on Rosetta. All other projects run jus fime.

Paul, let me add to this, this is only happening on my dual processor computers. One is running dual AMD MP 2100's on windows 32 bit SP2, one is running dual AMD MP 2600's on Linux and one is running a pair of Opteron 275's (4 cpu's) on Windows 64 bit. I do have BOINC set to leave it in memory.

Both my multi-cpu computers haven't had the error since since the 27th when I set Rosetta to stay in memory. One of them has done a bench mark since then and that didn't cause any errors, of course that one has 8 gigs of memory.

As far as granting credit goes, if you return a valid result with out client error, you are grantid credit immediately.

I am also getting the " Exit Code -1073741819 (0xc0000005))" error only on my multi-processor pc's.
Both computers are not over clocked or over heating. Since Rosete@home is the ONLY app. that is getting this error and both get the same error. All other apps.,Seti@home, Einstein@home, LHC@home, ProteinPredictor@home and SetiBeta@home are running without errors, at this point, I am disinclined to start swapping things around. Of course I have seen stranger things happen in the past.

Last night I added three more windows computers to this project. One runs Windows 32 bit with dual AMD MP 2100's and one is running Windows 64 bit with dual Opteron 275's. Both multi processor computers are getting some Client errors on Rosetta@Home. Some WU's complete ok however. On S@H, P@h, E@H and LHC they run just fine.

I think it is with the Rosetta linux client. I am running 3 or 4 distributed projects on four different linux boxes and they all run at 99%. One has dual AMD mp 2600's and both cpu's run at 99%. Currently I am only running Rosetta on Windows XP64 with an AMD 3000 cpu.
