1) Questions and Answers : Getting started : Do not get Account key for running Rosetta on Console Only Systems (Message 78176)
Posted 2 May 2015 by Desti
Right, I am pretty certain that support for weak account keys was incorporated in to BOINC after the last R@h server upgrade. But the next time the server code is updated, it should pick up that feature.

Any news for this? I want to create a common team account, where everyone can crunch on without any further registration. Obviously I can't publish the password for it.

You can try this 64bit build or choose an 32 bit build

The installation is quiet easy:

download the boinc file
make it executable (chmod +x boinc*)
run it and it will be unpacked into a dir named BOINC
change into that dir an start ./boinc -attach_project PROJECT_URL ACCOUNT_KEY

Use the anonymous platform support or a 32 bit BOINC.

a) go to your Account Prefs page and Change the ROSETTA prefs....

And change which?

I think it is:

Target CPU run time
(not selected defaults to 8 hours)

You need to use the key you got mailed, not the password that you created on account creation.

Have you used BOINC 5.xx?

500 is an internal Server error (, try it again, maybe it was only a temporary failure.

IF ANYONE SEES A "DEFAULT_xxxxx_205_.........." (batch 205) WORKUNIT PLEASE ABORT IT.

An explanation will be posted soon, but in short, we accidentally sent out 1100 work units with very long run times (1000 structures to be made instead of 10).

Sorry about this problem for those who have been crunching these since last night.

The DEFAULT__206 workunits are ok?
I have just finished one of them without any problems :)
