1) Questions and Answers : Windows : Installed newest version - cannot merge computer record (Message 41881) Posted 5 Jun 2007 by Aidan Sonoda Post: I installed the newest version of BOINC, and it now detects my CPU and OS differently, and will not allow me to combine the computer record from before I reinstalled with the new version. Is there a way to fix this? I also have this problem. I waited for the older entry to clear all of its work units and still cannot merge. Outside of the new version of BOINC, I know of no other changes to this PC. Please advise.
2) Message boards : Number crunching : Report problems with Rosetta version 5.34 (Message 30186) Posted 28 Oct 2006 by Aidan Sonoda Post: Since the upgrade to 5.34 my error rate has gone through the roof, across four of my five hosts. Validate Errors ("Rosetta score is stuck or going too long" eg result) seem to be the most prevalent, though compute errors ("Access Violation" eg result and "cannot find the path specified" result) and WU's that get single digit credit after 8 hours cpu time have also occured (result) I am not overly concerned about the credit, but feel I am not contributing as much as I might be to the project, please advice as to whether there is something I need to fix at my end.
