David,

Thanks for your post regarding CASP8 on May 12. Great information.

I would like to recommend though, that this particular post be copied to the front page news section as well. If added to the news section, it should then also be disseminated to all the various stats sites, as you may already know. Thereby, hopefully, encouraging others to join in the CASP fun. :-)

Anyway, just a thought.

Joel

A good Thought indeed. I am (like probably many others too) connected to many projects currently so my main source for project news is the stats sites front page which gathers all the news to a one page window. Many times this news page has led me to, for example, change my resource share on projects because I have noticed that something important is going on in some project (team race, target goal etc.)
Informing on the front page gives the project A LOT of attention and therefore increase the computing power in important events such as CASP.

6) Message boards : Rosetta@home Science : Plotted results not working (Message 50355)

In the Q&A it was said the plotted results often fail.

I'm mainly interested not in the plot, but simply in checking what lowest energy/rmsd was calculated during the run. Is there any way to get this data from the files on my own HDD? In that case I could go w/o the plotted results a while longer... :)

i once read somewere about how to read out something of your own work. dont know if it was 3d models or a graph, but there was something to kinda read out your own work.

Perhaps You mean this?

7) Message boards : Number crunching : T-FLOPS jump?? (Message 46834)

Did a little research and didn't find anything related to this. I also didn't want to make a own topic for this one so going to post it here:

Is it possible to make somekind of graphic about the T-flops? I know that the amount of credits is straightly(?) related to the amount of t-flops but it would be nice to see how the calculation speed has developed say, in the last 6 months or in the past year or so...
I got the idea from einstein@home where they already have this kind of graph-> http://homepage.hispeed.ch/einstein/flops.png

o/ I like this, would be nice to see some more information about the workunits. (there's never too much information about the WU's! :))
