This is the wu:

and I did pm the other computer user as an fyi, they just got the wu a few minutes ago.

Anyone else with stalled computers recently?

Edit:
Is there another way to find If I have had the problem?

I had result that took 19K sec.s, and another 12K sec.s
Are those of any interest to you?

The first is 0, the last is 10. Good go!

cool.
For some reason 11 crossed my mind after I had posted; 10 error + 1 quorum.
- the fun of programming :)

sorta like:
a = 0
if a > 10 goto...
else...
return

that will run 11 times.

and i remember the days when you could do the:
else...
before the:
if a = 10 goto...

which would also run 11 times.

10 errors, #11 sent out.?.

addit:
if they wanted 2 copys out and only 1 correct to stop sending out more, then I'd say they'd have to change the 10 to 1, then.

Then I'd have to guess that 10 is the default, and rather than editing them all, and with the quorum set at 1, it may be a time saver.

I know how the 10/20/10 works now. lol

So what happens if the result is successful this time? :)

Max success results 10 is meaningless in the context of Rosetta@Home though I might add ... as we do not form quorums with more than 1 member.

If it is succesful I guess it will stop sending out any more.
If it is not, it should also stop.
They probably are leaving in the max 10 good either as a backup, or cause it's a parameter the program needs filled to be able to run. (have done some program, long ago.)

Addit:
and after reading this page:
http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/rah_graphics.php
I see they like to attack a problem like I do.

And, although They say:
Rosetta is to predict the shapes that proteins fold up into in nature.
and:
Rosetta keeps track of the lowest energy shape found in each trajectory.

I will assume the latter is what they are looking for. Lowest energy shape being what is found in nature.

thanks Paul.
I'll keep an eye on the wiki frontpage for profit vs. non-profit projects. ;)

thanks for this fluffy.

I don't think I misunderstood what they said about the non profit stuff. If there is something amiss, it might be how they come across.
They difinetely want us to read it first, and I did, and that's how it sounds... for profit right now.

Thanks,
But I'll wait till this part of the agreement is dealt with:

IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT EVENTUALLY IBM WILL TRANSFER WORLD COMMUNITY GRID TO A NON-IBM OWNED NOT-FOR-PROFIT ENTITY.

Or when I get a job again myself. ;)

I DID say close, not friendly.

One thing I like about Americans over Canadians is that they deal with issues. May be completely odd and roundabout way at times, but they do deal with stuff.

Learning to read through the personally-not-liked garb and seeing if anything is actually asked or stated that can help was a big learning step for me. But that's just me.

Atleast you're still crunching!!! :)

I can see the quorum number via clicking through my computers's results to the work unit id page.

Plus:
Paul, I see you have more Boinc projects than are shown at the main Boinc page:

Climateprediction.net: study climate change
Einstein@home: search for gravitational signals emitted by pulsars
LHC@home: improve the design of the CERN LHC particle accelerator
Predictor@home: investigate protein-related diseases
Rosetta@home: help researchers develop cures for human diseases
SETI@home: Look for radio evidence of extraterrestrial life
Cell Computing biomedical research (Japanese; requires nonstandard client software)
World Community Grid: advance our knowledge of human disease. (Requires 5.2.1 or greater)

Where did you find them?

And:
I tried to figure out how to connect Boinc to WCG. Man! they are confusing, I gave up! :(
