It's hard to know when you've chased down the last cert (until it works) and update the bundle, but now it works. Thanks.

I was also receiving transient errors, some of which later became permanent. This was after several successful days running with the TLS (https) URL. Not long after, however, the certificate could not be validated against the CA server. Uploads eventually all halted, so I reset the project. This did little, so I again removed the project. Every time since then, Add Project will not work. Selecting the stock URL fails - Failed to add project, Please try again later.
Changing the URL to http: allows a connection where you can log in. Then, Communicating with project, Please wait then fails again - Failed to add project, Please try again later.
So you too may be unable to reconnect to the project soon.

So, what I did to get 're-attached' is this (in case anyone else has this problem sometime):
First, I clcked the 'Remove' button (same as 'Detach'; [b]thanks
..
Then, with my computer now truly detached (the BM was now empty of any project / tasks), I uninstalled BM using Windows Uninstall.

This is a troublesome, low-scoring, now non-scoring project. I have something else running now. There are ready-to-report tasks for this, but it is suspended now.

A fix is something different. Look at the dates on these posts.

One of my computers stopped showing any increase in credit last

week after windowsupdate. So how do I stop the madness? Other than suspending while asteroids runs.

Thought I'd crunch some time on R@H wu's again but just found out I got 10 credits for 10 hrs of crunching time on a Phenom II X4 945.
Sorry, can appreciate a joke but this is too much so I hopped to another project again.

BOINC:: CPU time: 36161.4s

Valid
Claimed credit 388.351803321246
Granted credit 10.5259902693623

I'm in agreement, but it's probably because it's considered more humanitarian than figuring asteroid collisions. The needs of the one outweigh the needs of the many. Or the other way around as appropriate.

Besides that being so wrong on it's face, my machine is offline most of the time until I go to the bar to connect. Why is all that aggregated into one day? Apparently there is no check of what day a task was completed, which would be a reasonable check.
Also, while the upload was going on, an update attempt occurred before it finished and the log said "too many uploads in progress", which might be reasonable except for the "last update too recent" constraint which conflicts. Once the flurry of uploads is done, then, Oh we can't consider anything for a while? An overview of the requirements analysis needs to be done, reviewing all the incomplete assumptions, like non-constant connection.

Kinda wierd when the first download is stuck at 98% and the next at 2.4% and you have to leave the wifi spot...

I have 11 stuck downloads at the moment. Maybe a priority could be set to finish before starting new connections?

I click allow new tasks because I'm at a wifi and hit update and I get "last request too recent" in the log. Why was there a request if there can't be downloads? Then when I get done surfing and I'm ready to go I have to wait for a stock of downloads to proceed. Lately they've been getting stuck a lot and I end up having to abott the transfer to start ones that really get going. Something's not quite right.

Newly-downloaded workunits have a deadline of 10 to 14 days whereas seti@home, e.g., workunits vary from 20 to 40 days. Boinc then runs all cpu's on running, high priority for the rosetta task. Rosetta has to be suspended as a project for a while to achieve fairness across projects. Has anyone else noticed how Rosetta doesn't "work and play well with others"?
Yes, I can manually override, but it's cool at the rare times when one cpu runs Rosetta and another runs seti (or orbit@home if they ever get funding).
Observations?
