Initial thought was ram failure but checking I see that my wingmen are also getting "compute error" on them also. Coincidence? Programming problem? Irritation on folder's part? Probably! Any one else getting problems with these rb files?

I see a lot of errors with Rossmann2x3. Check here and see all of my errors duplicated by another machine. It's a relief that it is a problem with Rosetta and not my machine. It is not an enjoyable experience knowing I've wasted some of my bandwidth allowance on processing crap coding. Aborted the remaining Rossmann2x3 unit. Calm down, it's not important, life is not perfect. Just blowing off steam...p

Early last month had many WU's error out both in Rosetta and Einstein.. Tried replacing the ram (easiest fix) with no joy. So new cpu, motherboard, 16 gigs of ram, new harddrive and WIn7 64 instead of 32 bit. All was golden. Suddenly getting errors again. 7) Message boards : Number crunching : massive failures, Rosetta & Einstein (Message 72469) Posted 8 Mar 2012 by peristalsis Post: Thanks. My initial thought was a windows update that screwed something up. Last time something like this happened, I replaced the current OS with a backup. Everything worked fine. Then I reinstalled windows updates until just before things went south. Again, things worked as they should. This time I just uninstalled the latest updates (Net 4). No joy. I haven't upgraded the BOINC software lately and the problem is on two DC projects so shouldn't be software for both projects. So that leaves memory, Motherboard, or CPU. Memory would be the cheapest thing to try. If that doesn't work I'm thinking just build a new quad core machine. The hassle of re-installing software (as in "Now how did I do this last time?") and my present machine being adequate to my needs makes me not want to waste the money. Thanks again..

The message in BOINC is "output file for XXX not found". Four actual error messages are at the bottom of this. I've blown out the dust bunnies, removed, cleaned, and reinstalled ram. Cleaned and new Arctic Silver on CPU. Just ordered two new two gig chips to see if that is the problem. Heat not an issue. WIN7 Pro, AMD 4400 (dual) CPU, 4 gigs ram, no overclocking. An older machine that still does what I want, not really desiring to upgrade ATT. Any one have any thoughts? TIA! ERROR: Fatal SOGFunc_Impl error.
