I just thought that the name was excessively long and at least one word in it was not politically correct! If other BOINC projects can manage on shorter files name why cant Rosetta? Sending extra long file names just wastes bandwidth and as your link shows can cause Windows XP a problem.

It starts off "loopbuild_min" then ends "_74_1" Is this a record? I have certainly never seen anything with a 158 character name before.
