same here, 10x C4s waiting for work due to the 6GB requirement.
Hopefully soon there will be a lot of tasks for the small computers available.
In the meanwhile i let them crunch WCG.

i also got some problems again with the 6gb ram minimum.
After pressing several times Update i got again tasks for my C4s.
Now 5 C4s are running. :-)

The question i have is how often does Rosetta updates automatically and requests new tasks?
If I would not have pressed update, i would have waited however time to get again tasks.

Is there a possibility to tell Rosetta to update every 10mins or similar?

My feeling is that managing Rosetta to use the computer close to 100% is a bit luck.
Its a bit sad because i really want to help and i bought the C4s to run efficiently 100% around the clock.
I do hope that in the near future there are again for many weeks and month enough tasks for <<1GB ram per task so that all the small computers can support Rosetta with their maximum performance.

the MacBook errors are okay. I had one freeze, now all is okay again.

Thank you very much for the information.
Is that high memory size requirement normal ?
The last week since the C4 operates i had no problems.

I read before about Raspi4 and other arm boards that it is possible to run Rosetta on them with linux..
Now i have 15!x C4s waiting to operate for Rosetta.
A bit sad these unsafe information.

Is it very likely that "normally" tasks of around 1GB are available ?
Or was i just lucky these last days ?

Thanks.

Does somebody have more information regarding the use of swap with Rosetta?
Is there a reason the swap is not used ( at least not on the C4 until now) ?
Thanks

My odroidC4 does not get anymore tasks.
i got a note: Rosetta required 6.x GB suddenly. Around 3.7 available.
I dont understand why this is, all the other days i could run 4 tasks without any problem.
Now i do not get even one tasks.
Also i have 5GB swap but Rosetta does not use any space of it, but this was also before i think.

My other two computers have again new tasks, all okay there.
Some ideas ?
Thanks a lot.

thank you all very much. Now RAC is much better understandable.
So i will just wait.
I just wanted to be sure that there is nothing wrong.

I use the I7 and i5 only for reference.
Iam placing 15xOdroidC4.

The first one is running and the performance is compared as expected very good.
.. and without any noise (no cooling, no fan) and less power consumption.

The C4 makes around 80 credits per 8h task per core. The other both computer around 240 credits.
That makes 3xC4 equal to my i5 MacBook or 6xC4 equal to my i7NUC.
...so the 15x C4 will do some nice work. :-)

Just waiting for the switch and some parts....the C4s are already here.

if i look at the float calculation speed
the i5 is with 5400 (4 cores) faster than the i7 with 3500 (8cores) per core.
So i would think the i5 should have a RAC much higher than the half of the i7.

However, right now the RAC is just around 500 (i5) to 2000 (i7)...
Does not fit for me.

Do you know how the RAC is calculated exactly.
What the RAC represents (lets say after 1 month uninterrupted operation)?

Thanks

where can i find information how the RAC is calculated?
My i5 and my i7 gets round about 250 credits per 8h task. The i5 mostly a bit more than the i7.
At least no big difference visible.
The i7 have 8 cores the i5 4 cores.
I would guess the RAC from the i5 should be half of the RAC from the i7 due to the double amount of cores / tasks per time..
But the i7 gets around 5 times more RAC than the i5.

i would like to know where my mistake is.
Thanks a lot.

i startet RAH on 18.3.
the first tasks started.
Now they dont appear in the stats list under send or finished on 18.3.
( iam sure that around 8 tasks have been finished and transmitted and validated on 18.3)
However, they must at least appear under "send", right ?
So a lot of tasks are missing in the stats.

Did this happened to somebody else in the past ?
