My server, r-116, Xeon Platinum 8176, produces a ton of errors in the new BETA v6 App ! Why ? Do you use AVX-512 code-path ?

Status "Error while computing"

Rosetta v4.20 seems to work error-free on my machines.

You can compile Rosetta python apps native with PyInstaller, removing the need for Virtualbox, increase performance . (And allow execution on ARM processors)

Please build a new app for Rosetta-python. Either Docker (for Linux hosts) or PyInstaller to pre-compile statically a python app to run natively without virtualization . (On any hosts)
This native python build should skip VirtualBox completely.

VirtualBox consume a ton of RAM and lowers CPU performance. VirtualBox is great for testing and prototyping but it's a bad idea to run performance intensive workloads on it.

nonsense. AlphaFold doesn't use Rosetta in any shape or form. You're spreading misinformation.
12) Message boards : Rosetta@home Science : I'm curious about how much CPU capacity of smartphones have meaningfull to Rosetta project? (Message 102387)

both Android 9+ and Apple IOS have huge limitations on the power usage of smartphone apps, so I seriously doubt if that's even possible without hacking(rooting) our phones.

The limits are there because Apple and Google are wary of any kind of apps that suck too much power, and limits exist even if phones are connected to chargers.

it seems that NN like AlphaFold does the job better than Rosetta@Home.

And RosettaFold seems to copy the NN architecture of AlphaFold.

Does it mean that future work focus more on GPU contributions?

A single core process (single work unit) of Rosetta takes about 1 Gig of RAM on my actual PC, not 6 Gigs.
Rosetta clearly does _NOT_ need 6 gigs of RAM to operate it's algorithms.

Running on Raspberry Pi 4, 4 GB version:

from /var/log/syslog :
Apr 13 00:45:05 pi4hole boinc[2589]: 13-Apr-2021 00:45:05 [Rosetta@home] Rosetta needs 6675.72 MB RAM but only 3415.80 MB is available for use.

This is running a 64-bit version of Raspbian Linux.
Why it doesn't attempt to load at least 1 WU on 1 core, if it is unable to utilize all 4 cores ?

NOTE: I also have some Raspberries with 1 GB of RAM, but I put them to Distributed.net

16) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : My PC got 7 Invalid (Error) results -- how to diagnose ? (Message 90265)

One of my Linux computers, got 7 Invalid (Error) results.
http://boinc.bakerlab.org/show_host_detail.php?hostid=3601580

This is very strange because my other computers get ZERO errors. (using exactly same software setup; Ubuntu 18.04 LTS + BOINC 7.9.3)
Any ideas what could be the cause ? how to diagnose ?
