Time remaining goes to a few minutes and stays there. I've had to abort all 6 WU as they've run past the expiration due date. Is this a common thing? It's been happening over the last month. I hate to waste all that CPU time that might go to better use on another project. I've been with R@H since 2011 and would like to continue to do useful work if possible. Thank you, Ed Machak

Knowing how to spell "virtual machine" is all I know about the subject. Is the message telling me that the software cleaned up something or that I'm supposed to do something? I think the latter because my Rosetta@home work units are not being processed on all my PCs. From other posts I've read that there is software called Oracle VM Virtual Box that others have used to do the "cleaning. Other than opening the software I don't know what to do with it. A detailed step by step procedure for how I should proceed would be appreciated. Thank you, Ed Machak

Ed Machak Log out This is the best advise I found, "On the Discussions List tab, click New Topic on the drop-down menu In the Forum drop-down list, select the forum in which you want to create the topic, or create a new forum by clicking the New Forum link. Enter a Title for the topic. Enter a Description" There's no "New Topic" or "New Topic Link" on a forum screen Beat me up if you must but please help. I'm missing something! Thanks for the tips as they pointed me to thermal throttling. Unlike the four tower computers where the CPU operating temperatures run at about 75C in the laptop it reaches 100C. There's supposed to be a way to increase the laptop fan speed via a bios setting though I'm still looking for it :-) Again, thank your for the prompt and detailed assistance. Ed Machak

They returning similar CPU benchmarks, 15,000 floating point and 39,000 integer computations per CPU. Predicted runtimes are in the 7 to 9 hour range for each of the four processors. A 5th computer, an 8 CPU Lenovo laptop, has benchmarks of 12,000 floating point and 69,000 integer computations per CPU. Predicted runtimes are also in the 7 to 9 hour range for each of the 8 processors. The typical host averages of the 4-CPU computers is 3400 but the laptop is only 1800. With double the number of processors why is the 8 CPU host average only ½ of the four CPU computers? Thank you, Ed

I have reset the project but these messages persist. Can this error report be ignored or is it indicating I'll get no credit for the work? Ed Machak
