Rebirther, do you mean results that your computer has completed and that have been lost on return?

No, only if my pc request new work then they are lost (ghost WUs)

Those are what we've been dubbing "ghost WUs". They are fairly uncommon. And they do no harm to the project. If it were as simple as configuring a setting to resend, I'm sure they'd have done it long ago.

Which projects have you seen that have such a feature? Perhaps they've added something to the standard BOINC server code.

RCN, Neuron, Einstein and some more have "resent lost result". I think its a part of the new (standard) server code.

The problem is "fetching new work" from the scheduler, marked as downloaded but not sent to me, I have seen this by other projects too in the past.

I have lost some WUs during download "Transferred a partial file", some Boinc projects have the feature "resent lost result" what Iam missing here. Any updates planned for this?

Minimum of given credits should be 7. CPDN, SAP, Riesel have more credits than rosetta. I have finished a WU in 3h and got only 14,50, not good at all.

You can search your team on the left side for other projects.

The bug is listed. A new client version is coming soon. I solved this part by merging the last host entry with others. No new host was created.

Is there a optimized Aplication for Rosetta@home and which client is newest? I downloaded 5.13 is 5.07 newer?

You mean boinc version 5.2.13. 5.07 is the science app from rosetta and will be downloaded automatically with new wus ;)

Your other project is blocking getting new work from rosetta, you can suspend the other and it will work, reset helps too because long term dept and short term dept values changed.

Hi Rebirther and others with "1.04%" after 3 hours or so, please let them run until they go about 4 times your cpu run time preference. (If you haven't set a preference, our default is 3 hours, so let them run 12 hours.) If they're running longer, the jobs should be aborted by the watchdog, but please post here if not!

I have suspend following WU: FA_CASP6_t198__470_5745_0
After 2:13h only 1.04%. Steps increasing very low.
Last entry stdout.txt:
CYCLES::number is 1 x total_residue: 69
initializing full atom coordinates
BOINC :: [2006-05-04 11:46:11] :: checkpoint_decoys() :: saved decoy info :: attempted_decoys: 7 :: num_decoys: 7 :: farlx_stage: 10
dump_fullatom_pdb: farlxcheck
starting score 357.328156 rms 4.70180273
starting full atom minimization
[T/F OPT]Default FALSE value for [-infinite_loop]

Should I running further or abort it? Don`t know how long does it take? Normally 3h for one WU. 200MB RAM usage now.

Don`t worry Rhiju, I have finished this larger WU in 3h ;)

The problem is downloading new files. So Boinc is switching projects (WUs). My experiences are to download WUs for some days and stop getting new work. So you can see that CPDN is running all the time on one CPU and Rosetta on the other. You can try this. It helped me ;)

A little bit confusing why the task manager didnt display the right values of Ram per WU?!

Why do you think it didn't? Have you enabled the column "Virtual memory"? Or based on which assupmtion you think the right values weren't displayed?

I have 1GB virtual memory but I mean the consumption of Ram for current WU.

I checked now some more WUs and the same problem existing. Running 2 Wus on my P4, HT enable and 150MB RAM usage, two big WUs had 300MB but 2 times more RAM usage in total is displayed. Anybody else have this problem?

WIN XP SP1, 2GB RAM, P4 3,2Ghz HT Socket478

Iam running two WUs with HT on my P4, HBLR_xx and AB_CASP6.xx. Memory usage is 300MB but my Task Manager displays 911MB RAM total, seems to be a memory leak of 300MB somewhere (+300MB for XP)?

I must say the new application is useless, so many errors I haven`t seen here at the beginning. For better support make the WUs smaller to solve many of the existing problems. Iam unhappy about to have lost 18h yesterday for nothing. Hmm bad WUs or a worse 4.82? The one ralph WU that I have finished was successful, thats crazy... need better testing? I wanna back 4.81 :p

Damn, all is going wrong here, another one after 14h and 45% fall back to 15% :(. I will cancel all and waiting for a fix. (Rosetta 4.82, Boinc 5.2.13). I have never had any problems before... 2 of 3 failed :o

Restart boinc didn`t solve the problem, only a new random seed, what can I do?
