They say I was successful in merging hosts in SETI because in that project are used the very latest versino of BOINC server software, and they have on their todo list to upgrade the Rosetta BOINC server software :) good work, admins!

I have successfully merged ALL my duplicate hosts on my SETI account. I have NO duplicate hosts in my SETI account The current (very old) server software will allow computers to be merged if everything in the CPU description and the OS are exactly the same. The current version of the server software is smarter, and will allow merging when things have changed due to things like OS upgrades, or BOINC versions changing (causing the CPU descriptions change). This can explain what this happening and why I successfully merged my hosts in SETI: probably they have a newer server software. Any chance the Rosetta project would upgrade the server software? Bug the Admins. I tried in the past, with no luck. Perhaps if more did.... In fact, I want to bug them, I thought these forums were read from Admins, how can I contact them?

Seems the merge function isn't totally broken. By the way, I think I'll wait the "fix" of the merge function, I prefer to move the credit of the old host into the new host rather than losing it, unless someone working on the hosts credit database can to this manually :)

But in my account I can see 5 hosts. This is because one of my computers is replicated 3 times. I tried to merge these hosts together with the Web interface, but it doesn't let me do it. I would like to merge host ID 583166, 453384 and 362819 together. Can somebody of the staff do this "manual merge" for me? Thanks
