TONS of this.

WU name is in the screenshot. Is this normal? I've never seen a WU behave like that.

Thanks from me, too. Explains all of that.
Anyway, seems to be over, running a BENCH_03ABRELAX WU. Models take about 6 or 7 minutes each.

1gid
The P4-P6 domain from the self-splicing Tetrahymena group I ribozyme

Whatever that means.

I think the RMSD box is broken because the RMSD is so high-over 50 at some points in the WU. So, s a result, the plots are too far to the right to be shown on the screen. They both should show as the RMSD falls below 20 or so.

Even though there WUs take a long time and have some problems, I love them. The proteins have so much detail and look so awesome, especially the curved long ones. Really cool! And, the energy on mine is really low. Sometimes it goes below 850!

Strange, I don't get this behavior. THis is what my WU looks like:

The only thing "broken" is the RMSD graph.
Are you sure it's stuck? My energy graph is moving, but I have to stare at it for about 10 seconds for it to move, since there are so many plotted points. Maybe when there are so many plotted points, it moves so slowly you can't tell?

Also, the first 4 letters of most WUs are the protein type you are working on.

CPU Make: AMD
CPU Core type: Orleans
CPU L2 Cache size: 512 Kb
CPU Stock Speed: 2.4 GHz
CPU Actual Speed: (not overclocked)
No of physical CPUs/cores in machine: 1
Hyperthreaded? (no)

Link to that machine's results: http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/show_host_detail.php?hostid=358920

@DCDC: "Assume" that for "CPU Stock Speed" you meant GHz, not MHz...

I have the same CPU.

via your rosetta specific prefs.

Each task issued of the same wu type is the same with different seeds (starting points, I believe). Each wu can have 10's of thousands of models. The "run time" pref really means "run as many models as you can in X time". However, If it takes your processor 2 hours to do a model, but you have it set to only one hour, then it'll run two hours and finish. The longer the setting and the faster the machine, then the more closely it'll actually stop at your desired pref. If it takes 2hr/model, and you set it to 24 hours, then you'll complete 12 of those models (out of the 10's of thousands or however many there are for that type)

Also, if it is set to 1 hour, and your first Model took 40 minutes, it will finish with that one model, because it knows it will not finish in 1 hour.

HT computers recieve about half the benchmarks they deserve. I used to have a 3.2GHZ P4 (which i'm reviving soon) that had about 1,000/1,700 benchmarks. However, when I looked at other one-core processors of my speed range, they had way higher benchmarks. This is why it makes sense.

Hello Feet1st,

I think the time you dedicate to this project is immense. I learned a lot from your posts, and I can tell that you care a lot about this project. Your threads are very descriptive and have pulled me to the project. Thanks!
(No specific order)
1) The screensaver interests me.
2) I am helping science - nice fuzzy feeling inside.
3) I know what i'm researching.
4) Administrators and users give constant updates.
5) Unlike SETI, outcome is very useful.
6) Very helpful community
7) Never runs out of work
8) Can set the amount of time per WU
9) Very descriptive website
10) People willing to help.

Is it possible to also show the energy that user got for the certain WU? I'd love to compare it to my WUs.

Hello, this happns to me, too, but when it starts t 0%, it goes to the next model. I've been running a WU till about 70%, and after I restarted it, it went to 0%, but the graphics show model 4. So,it is actually restarting or continuing?
