1) Questions and Answers : Windows : Not getting new work (Message 47045)

It seems to be feast or famine. I finished the last of a number of Rosetta WU three days ago, and have got no new WU since. I tried resetting and updating the project thinking that those actions might "tickle" the system, but no luck.

It also seems that when I DO get Rosetta work, I get too many WU (up to 10 at one time) to finish in the time allotted with my preferences. I have had to cancel several that I KNEW would not finish before deadline.

Running XP SP2 on a 2.4 ghz P4; shared with Seti@home (2/3 Rosetta, 1/3 Seti). Might this have to do with a "deficit" in Seti due to all the Rosetta done at once?
2) Message boards : Number crunching : Problems with Rosetta version 5.68 (Message 41806)

I know these versions are supposed to be distributed automatically, but I am still running 5.64. I have a continuous web connection, so that isn't the problem. Are the new versions announced? I see no way to download a new version myself. I don't think I have ever received an e-mail from R@H.

Another problem (not with 5.68): A new BOINC version downloaded a large number of WU's at one time, which are all due today; about 10 are not done. Should I abort them before the deadline, or will they still count if finished after the deadline?
I have turned off getting new WU's until the backlog of R@H and seti@Home is cleaned up.

3) Questions and Answers : Windows : No new work since new Rosetta version (Message 36164)

Since the new version of 30 Jan 2007 was automatically downloaded and installed I have been unable to obtain new work, either automatically or by atempting to "Update". I am running seti@home with equal priority to Rosetta, but that has been working well since last September.

What happened and how do I fix it?

Using 2.4 Ghz P4 CPU, Windows XP HOme, and Rosetta 5.45 for Intel X86.
