PPL has a point. Looks like both Linux versions are more then 4x larger then prior releases.

If this is the case I will wait until the size decreases again before I return to this project.

It seems things have gone from bad to worse.

The TeraFLOPS estimate:17.....

Could these messages from the front page have something to do with it?

The validator and scheduler servers are currently slowly processing a large work unit. We have reprioritized the WU after finding that it is causing server problem. However, it will take a while for the existing jobs to clean out. Meanwhile, server lags are expected.

Sep 11, 2009
Based on the current rate of data crunching, the server lag problem should be alleviated through this weekend.

TeraFLOPS estimate:15.881

I have an i7 920@3600MHz on a Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 with 6 GB OCZ Reaper DDR3 1600@1440. Air-cooled with a Noctua NHU12P.

Joe That's a nice system. Are you using a GPU capable graphics card and roughly how much is your power bill?

speedy, the colors are just rainbow spectrum blue to red. The help you see which end is which. Especially with longer proteins.

Ok I was talking about the colours in the accepted energy colors are mainly yellow & blue. I can't tell which end is witch of the proteins now, when you say help you see witch end is witch of the proteins are you referring to the protein that is moving in the accepted panel of the graphics window?

It is due to wide images posted in the thread. Depending on how long 1.80 remains current release, I may have to move the wide posts.

Thank you for details Mod.Sense, I never gave the screen shots a thought. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, is there any chance the page Quick guide to Rosetta and its graphics can be updated to what the different colors mean?

I have noticed something about this thread, it seems to be displaying on my screen in wide format. I have to move the bottom scroll bar across the screen to view the whole post. In the Number crunching thread I can view posts without having to move my scroll bar. Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks For info. Maybe you could add a I7 server computer to the fold, if would make your RCA even higher and it would speed things up in the data center. This is just a idea.

That's a impressive RCA along with a great contribution to Rosetta. What is the main purpose of your servers, is your power bill high with all those PCs?

I'm sure staff will be on to it when they get to work in the morning Washington time, it's a 2.30 am there at present. I'll have enough cache to hold me through until sometime tomorrow New Zealand time. On a side note which part of Washington are the servers based in?
