Hi Flavius,

no politics there, just the browser settings you have. Rosetta is available in English, Russian, German, Polish and simplified Chinese. Rosetta will display in the language that is set as the default in your browser settings and it looks like that is Russian at some place.

If you want to display it in another language, go here and select the language you would like to see.

Regards,

Christoph

Hi Christoph,

Thank you for your quick reply. The problem is solved. It was strange when all of a sudden, without changing any settings, the language changed from English to Russian. Of course, I have nothing against this language, I even like Russian literature (although my main interest is the Japanese one), but in this situation it was not appropriate.

Thanks again and all the best,
Flavius

The homepage and even the dialogue page where I'm writing now are displayed in Russian. Why? I don't need you to use my country language, English (first communication language) is O.K. But Romanian is a Latin language, as much as French, Italian etc. We are (were) neighbours with Russia or other Slavic countries, but that's all. You could use French, which is still the first culture language in the world. Or why not Japanese? By the way, I can read and write in Russian too, and understand a little, but after a half century of communism that destroyed our lives and countries, I'm sick of it. Most of the Romanian people can NOT read or understand Russian. So, why Russian? And why generate such political problems? You should know that in the '50 and '60, when Russian was compulsory in our schools, the English was quasi-forbidden, as the language of "the American and British Imperialists", as the official propaganda had it. My mother, who besides French (of course), knew English too, did NOT teach me this language, because it was too dangerous - it could mean sympathy for Britain or U.S. Of course, fortunately enough, Big Brother is dead, but not since too long. The BOINC projects are purely scientific projects, so why mixed them up with politics? And it's not about a "polically correct" or not issue (which, exagerated, is a stupid concept, if you ask me). So, again, why Russian in your homepage???
