Rosetta x86 on AMD CPU
(Message 92588)
Posted 30 Mar 2020 by Alessio Susi Post: I have a principal PC with a Ryzen 9 3950X and I'm building a second PC with a Ryzen 7 1700 CPU. My girlfriend has a notebook with another Ryzen 7 1700, so I have a lot of computational power to help Rosetta@Home, but please, a 64bit app. Please!!! |

Posted 26 Sep 2017 by Alessio Susi Post: Hi. I have a PC with an AMD A10-7800 CPU and I noticed that the tasks are x86_64 (32bit). What does it mean? They run in 64bit or 32bit? In a few days I will replace the A10 with a Ryzen 5 1600. I hope I can crunch more than I do now. |

Rosetta and Android

Posted 14 Sep 2016 by Alessio Susi Post: Rosetta on android continues, for me, to be a waste of time and resources A waste of time and resources is a smartphone that stays 8-10 hours in charge, during the night, without BOINC. I have 2 smartphones (and one with an Intel Atom CPU but not compatible with the Rosetta app), 2 tablets, 2 Android mini PCs and I'm going to buy other 2. I really care about this project. Now they're running World Community Grid but I'd prefer to run R@H. |

However, I've added an ASUS ZenFone Zoom (ASUS_Z00XS Intel Atom Z3580 2.3GHz 64bit, but the project says 1.33GHz) and I'd like to know if there are plans about a version for x86 Android devices. |
